Week 3 of the block and we’ll be focusing on hills!

At some point in our training/races we are going to come across hills. Some big, some small. This session will guide you through the best way to approach hills, get up, over and down them.

You should either have completed weeks 1 & 2 or your dog should have had a shot of bikejor before and be familiar with their canicross commands.

Pitmeddan directions:

what3words: resists.cubc.timer

If coming from Bridge of Earn/Kintillo head East on A912, straight over first roundabout and at the next roundabout take the first exit (A913) Stay on the road for about 1 mile then take turn right following signs for 4×4 centre. Follow this road up through Glenfoot for a couple of miles until you see the green sign for Pitmedden Forest on your left. Turn in here and follow the fire track for about 1.5 miles where you will see the large lay-by/parking area on your left.

From Auchtermuchty, follow the postcode KY14 7HR. This will take you to another car park. Drive straight past this and keep following the road. At the fork keep right. Don’t take the road to the deer farm. Follow the road for another 2 miles and you’ll see the lay-by/car park on the right.
